Introduction

ITQ: The Next Generation Conference 29 May 2008

The second e-skills national one day conference and exhibition supporting and promoting ITQ best practice.

We would be delighted if you would make a note in your diary for our forthcoming event taking place on 29th May 2008 hosted by e-skills UK. It will be held at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, Westminster.

The conference will include presentations from key speakers and a range of breakout sessions, providing an excellent opportunity for training providers and those agencies supporting and developing new approaches to ITQ delivery, to share their expertise and experience. Delegates from training organisations of all sectors will explore the impact on performance which ITQ can deliver and the current thinking around best practice delivery models, as well as providing valuable opportunities for networking. Providers will be able to consider current developments in ITQ, in preparation for implementation of the QCF in summer 2008.

The conference programme and speakers are still being finalised, but will again feature a prominent employer as a keynote speaker to ensure the employer’s perspective is central to the day’s proceedings.

The Agenda will include input on:

  1. Current advances in ITQ within the QCF
  2. The strategic landscape for ITQ development and funding
  3. Employer engagement and recruiting learners
  4. ITQ for Life - embedding literacy and numeracy within Level 1 ITQ

The event will give plenty of opportunity for discussion with breakout sessions on a range of ITQ projects. ITQ experts will be on hand to offer individual support to centres and answer the more technical questions.
