The new Learner Support Service will nationally administer a number of our schemes including Educational Maintenance Allowance, Adult Learning Grant, Care to Learn, Sixth Form Child Care, Dance and Drama and Residential Support.
9 Regional workshops have been organised in order:
- To clarify understanding of the arrangements for the new Learner Support Service;
- To explore the rationale for change;
- To introduce the single Helpline, Assessment and Payment Body; and
- To explain the customer journey
The target audience is general Further Education providers, Work-based Learning providers, Adult and Community Learning providers, Schools and advocates for learners such as Connexions Services and Ofsted registered child care providers.
