Introduction
The new Learner Support Service will nationally administer a number of our schemes including Education Maintenance Allowance, Adult Learning Grant, Care to Learn, Sixth Form College Child Care, Dance and Drama Awards and Residential Support Scheme.
The new system will be going live for EMA and ALG applications this summer. We have set up a series of seminars to provide an end to end walkthrough of the Learner Support Service from a Learning Provider perspective.
The objectives for the events are:
- To explain the operation of the Learner Portal and the Learning Provider Portal.
- To highlight the key differences between EMASYS, ALG system and the Learning Provider Portal.
- To reinforce the availability of the new channels for application; i.e. on-line and telephone supported.
The target audience is Learning Provider Learner Support Staff – e.g. users of EMASYS and ALG systems. A key target will be those people who have not used EMASYS before (e.g. ALG only administrators and new EMA administrators).
As places will be restricted we ask that providers register a maximum of 2 delegates and anyone else wishing to attend should ask to be put on the waiting list.
Each event will run for half a day and you may attend for either the morning or the afternoon. Please note that all the locations will cover the same information and the afternoon session is a repeat of the morning session.
