Our App Takes On Miami

Revealing record-breaking statistics.

Our app is coming into its own at employee events, none more so than global consulting leader Mercer’s 2015 Latin America HR Forum in Miami. Here, 150 HR leaders assembled to discuss how to empower employees to take ownership of their own success.

Our event app was seen as pivotal in driving the core objectives of the event, which were to facilitate knowledge transfer and idea-sharing, to deliver impactful presentations and to promote networking.

The branded app we designed and built highlighted key sponsors and event partners and made speaker information, pre-event reading materials and presentation documents readily available in a paperless medium.

It also enabled delegates to submit comments and questions, respond to votes and polls and interact fully with each other, something they embraced with enthusiasm, posting photographs on a collective social wall and building live, evolving word clouds in a real spirit of collaboration.

Further, to help facilitate networking between Mercer partners and delegates, the indoor positioning system we created allowed delegates to quickly track down others with similar interests and gave the client a new insight into delegate behaviours via a live  heat map showing the flow of delegates through the venue at any one time.

Vital Statistics

  • 97% of delegates used the app – the highest take up of any event so far
  • The indoor positioning system facilitated more than 400 delegate searches
  • 181 messages were exchanged
  • 419 contacts were exchanged
  • 1207 presentations were downloaded
  • 2350 polling responses, comments and questions were submitted
